Repository Policy
The Andalas Law Journal permits and encourages authors to self-archive their work across various stages of the manuscript development process. Authors are granted the rights to deposit and archive the following versions of their manuscripts in institutional repositories, personal websites, or any other open-access platform, subject to the following conditions:
-
Preprint Version: Authors may archive the original draft before peer review. This version should indicate that it is a preprint and has not yet been peer-reviewed.
-
Postprint Version: After the peer review process, authors are encouraged to archive the revised manuscript (postprint), which incorporates the feedback from the peer review. This version should indicate that it has been accepted for publication in the Andalas Law Journal, though it has not yet been formatted.
-
Published Version: Authors may also archive the final, published version of the article (i.e., the version formatted by the journal). This version must acknowledge the Andalas Law Journal as the source of publication and include a proper citation of the article.
Conditions for Self-Archiving
-
Attribution: All archived versions of the manuscript must provide appropriate credit to the Andalas Law Journal, including full citation details and a link to the official publication on the journal’s website.
-
Recognition: The Andalas Law Journal must be acknowledged as the original venue for publication in any repository where the article is deposited.
-
Non-Commercial Use: Any archived manuscript version can only be used for non-commercial purposes, in compliance with the journal’s licensing under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License.
By implementing this repository policy, the Andalas Law Journal seeks to enhance the dissemination of legal scholarship, ensuring broad access to research while maintaining the integrity and attribution of authors' work.
