The Andalas Law Journal is committed to maintaining robust management practices that ensure the integrity and quality of all aspects of the publication process. The journal is published and managed by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Andalas, Padang, West Sumatra, Indonesia, and operates by the highest standards of academic publishing.

Editorial and Administrative Structure

The management of the Andalas Law Journal is overseen by an editorial board, which is responsible for the journal's strategic direction and day-to-day operations. The board consists of experienced academics and legal professionals committed to maintaining the journal’s reputation for excellence.

  • Editor-in-Chief: The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for the overall management of the journal, including the final decision on manuscript acceptance and ensuring that all editorial policies are followed.
  • Editorial Board: The editorial board comprises experts in various fields of law who guide the journal’s content, ensure the quality of published research, and participate in the peer review process.

Peer Review Process

The Andalas Law Journal follows a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality and integrity of its research. All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review, where the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential.

  • Reviewer Assignment: Each manuscript is assigned to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. If the manuscript requires additional expertise or further validation, more reviewers may be assigned as needed to ensure a thorough and fair review process.
  • Review Process: Reviewers provide detailed feedback on the manuscript, evaluating its originality, methodological rigour, clarity of presentation, and contribution to the field. The editorial board makes final decisions based on these reviews.
  • Transparency and Fairness: The peer review process is designed to be transparent and fair, with clear criteria for accepting or rejecting manuscripts. Authors are provided with constructive feedback and, where necessary, are allowed to revise their manuscripts.
